Hey all. Lessyloo coming at ya from her sickbed. (There aren’t enough kleenexes in the world to fight this thing.)
So… I’ve been in bed all day. Staring at my surroundings. Thinking about what makes for a comforting and cozy bedroom. The kind of place you want to hibernate in when you have the sniffles.
Keeping the room as clean and sparse as possible helps to evoke a feeling of peace. Which, is the feeling you want to achieve, regardless of whether you’re running a temp or not. This is the spot where you put your mind at rest at the end of every day. It should be a haven from the outside chaotic world. This desired feeling of simplicity naturally draws me to searches like “minimalist bedroom” and “scandinavian decor” to find the types of spaces I think I’d want to be sick in. (If I HAD to be sick. Obviously. First choice is to skip the whole mess.) Might be a good litmus test for assessing whether you have the type of zen you’re looking for in your bedroom – is this a space where you would feel MOST comfortable getting better in? Being secluded to for however long it takes to kick a bug? Just a fever-fueled thought.
Anyway, yesterday, I posted about a space to be creative and productive in. Today, I’m posting a moodboard of places to let the mind rest.
